Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully.
By placing an order with us, you enter into a legally binding agreement without needing any further confirmation from us. Therefore, it is essential that you fully understand these terms to ensure they meet your expectations and that you agree to all of them.
Application
- These Terms and Conditions apply to all purchases of services and goods made by you (the “Customer” or “you”) from us, niku-naku Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 16090990. Our registered office is at Smugglers Cove Boatyard, Frongoch, Aberdovey, Gwynedd, Wales, LL35 0RG. - These terms govern your purchase of all services we offer. By placing an order, you confirm that you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract to purchase our services.
Interpretation
- Consumer: An individual buying primarily for personal use, not for trade or business purposes.
- Contract: The legally binding agreement between you and us for supplying the services.
- Delivery Location: The place where the services will be provided, typically our premises or another location agreed in your order.
- Durable Medium: Any format (paper, email, etc.) that allows you to receive, store, and reproduce information unchanged for future reference.
- Goods: Any physical items we supply alongside the services, as described in your order.
- Order: Your request to purchase services from us via our website.
- Privacy Policy: Our policy describing how we handle your personal data.
- Services: The sauna and related services offered on our website, including any goods supplied.
- Website: www.niku-naku.com, where our services are advertised.
Services
- The description of our services is available on our Website, brochures, or other advertising.
- If you order services tailored to your specific requirements, you are responsible for ensuring all information you provide is accurate.
- All services are subject to availability.
- We may update or modify services as needed to comply with legal or safety requirements and will notify you of any changes.
Customer Responsibilities
- You must cooperate fully with us and provide all necessary information and consents for us to deliver the services.
- Before attending any sauna session, customers must agree to sign our waiver form and read our customer briefing.
- Customers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
- If you fail to meet these obligations, we may suspend or terminate the contract immediately after written notice.
Personal Information
We handle your data according to our Privacy Policy. By providing your contact details, you agree to receive communication from us via email or other electronic means.
Basis of Sale
- Descriptions on our website do not constitute an offer to sell until we accept your order.
- We may reject orders for any reason but will try to inform you promptly.
- The online ordering process allows you to review and correct your order before submission, and you are responsible for accuracy.
- A legally binding contract forms only when you receive an Order Confirmation email from us. Please check this confirmation carefully and notify us of any errors immediately.
- No contract changes are valid unless agreed in writing by both parties.
- If you are not purchasing as a consumer (e.g., as a business), please inform us to receive terms suited to your situation.
Fees and Payment
- Fees and charges are as listed on the Website at the time we accept your order and include VAT at the applicable rate.
- Payment must be made by credit or debit card at the time of booking, and we may take payment immediately or prior to service delivery.
Delivery
- Services will be delivered at the agreed sauna location and time.
- If we fail to deliver on time (regardless of circumstances), you may request a reduction of fees or a refund, up to the full amount paid.
Withdrawal and Cancellation
- You may withdraw your order before the contract is formed without penalty or reason.
- Cancelling your sauna session:
- More than 48 hours’ notice: Refund minus a handling fee (£1 per communal spot, £2 per private session), or receive a full-value voucher or reschedule.
- Less than 48 hours’ notice: No refund available.
- Rescheduling your sauna session:
- More than 48 hours’ notice: Free rescheduling.
- Less than 48 hours’ notice (within the same week): We will try to reschedule at no extra cost, subject to availability.
- To cancel or reschedule, email sauna@niku-naku.com with your booking details (full name, email, date/time) and your preferred option.
- If we cancel due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., bad weather), you will receive a full refund or the option of a voucher.
Gift Card Terms
Refunds on gift card purchases incur a £2 handling fee and are only available before the card’s start date.
Conformity
- We will provide services with reasonable care and skill.
- Any information or promises made to you about the services are part of the contract if you relied on them when deciding to purchase.
Duration, Termination, and Suspension
- The contract lasts until services are fully delivered.
- Either party may terminate or suspend the contract with written notice if:
- There is a serious breach of contract that is not remedied within 30 days after notice; or
- Bankruptcy or liquidation proceedings commence against the other party.
- Termination does not affect any rights or liabilities accrued before termination.
Privacy
- Your privacy is important to us. We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and related data protection laws.

Governing Law, Jurisdiction, and Complaints
- These Terms and Conditions, including any non-contractual matters, are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
- Disputes may be resolved in courts in England and Wales or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in their respective courts.
- If you have a complaint, please contact us first. We aim to resolve all issues fairly and will respond within 10 working days.
Niku-Naku Membership Terms & Conditions
About Us – Niku-Naku (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides sauna sessions and membership services in the United Kingdom.
By purchasing a Membership, you enter into a legally binding contract with us.
Definitions
- Member – an individual holding an active Membership
- Membership – an Annual or Monthly Tiered subscription
- Public Session – shared sauna sessions (50-minute or 80-minute)
- Private Session – exclusive-use sauna bookings
- Initial Commitment Period – the first three (3) months of a Monthly Membership
Membership Types
Annual Membership
- £20 per year
- 10% discount on all session types (not applicable to other Membership options)
- Bring a friend for free on your first sauna session
Monthly Tiered Memberships
- Monthly Memberships are subject to the minimum commitment, cancellation, and payment terms set out below.
Minimum Commitment & Auto-Renewal
Initial Commitment
All Monthly Tiered Memberships have a minimum commitment period of three (3) months starting from the sign-up date.
- Monthly Memberships cannot be cancelled during this period, except where required by law.
- Fees remain payable regardless of attendance or usage.
Ongoing Subscription
After the Initial Commitment Period, the Membership will automatically renew on a rolling monthly basis unless cancelled in accordance with our membership cancellation policy below.
Cancellation & Notice
Cancellation After Initial Commitment
After completing the Initial Commitment Period, you may cancel your Monthly Membership by giving at least one (1) full calendar month’s notice.
- Cancellation requests must be submitted via our official cancellation method.
- Membership fees remain payable during the notice period.
Effective Cancellation
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the notice period, not on the date the request is made.
Cooling-Off Rights (UK Consumer Contracts Regulations)
Your Right to Cancel
If you purchase a Membership online or at a distance, you have a 14-day cooling-off period starting from the date of purchase.
Use During Cooling-Off Period
- If you do not use the Membership during this period, you may cancel for a full refund.
- If you use any services during the 14-day cooling-off period, you agree that a pro-rata deduction may be made from any refund to reflect services already provided.
After the 14-day cooling-off period, standard cancellation terms apply.
Referral Programme
- Each Member receives a personal referral code from the date of sign-up.
- A referred friend receives 50% off their first month.
- The referring Member receives 50% off their next Membership payment.
Referral codes:
- Are valid from the Member’s sign-up date
- Are single-use per referral
- Cannot be exchanged for cash
- Cannot be combined with other promotions unless stated
We reserve the right to amend or withdraw the referral programme with reasonable notice.
Monthly Tiered Membership Benefits
Tier 1 – £25 per month includes:
- 2 × 50-minute public sessions per month
- Bring a friend for half price to one 50-minute public session per month
- 10% discount on additional public session bookings
- Access to members Sauna Circle sessions
- Access to Members WhatsApp group
Tier 2 – £45 per month includes:
- 3 public sessions per month (50-minute or 80-minute sessions)
- Bring a friend for free once per month
- 20% discount on additional public session bookings
- Access to members Sauna Circle sessions
- Access to Members WhatsApp group
- Advance access to events hosted by Niku-Naku
Tier 3 – £90 per month includes:
- Unlimited sauna sessions, subject to:
- Maximum of one session per day
- Fair use policy (see below section)
- Bring a friend for free once per month
- 20% discount on all additional bookings, including private sessions
- Access to members Sauna Circle sessions
- Access to Members WhatsApp group
- Advance access to events hosted by Niku-Naku
Fair Use Policy (Tier 3)
Unlimited access is provided on a fair and reasonable use basis.
We may take proportionate steps to manage usage where booking behaviour:
- Prevents fair access for other Members, or
- Is clearly excessive or abusive
Any restriction will be reasonable, proportionate, and communicated clearly. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Booking & Usage Rules
- All sessions must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.
- Unused monthly sessions do not roll over.
- “Bring a friend” benefits must be used within the same calendar month.
- Membership benefits are non-transferable.
Payments & Refunds
- Membership fees are charged in advance.
- Payments are non-refundable, except where required by UK consumer law.
- Failed payments may result in temporary suspension of Membership benefits.
Changes to Memberships
We may make reasonable changes to Membership pricing or benefits.
If a change materially disadvantages you, we will provide notice and, where required by law, allow you to cancel without penalty.
Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate a Membership if a Member:
- Breaches these Terms & Conditions
- Behaves in a manner that is unsafe, abusive, or disruptive
- Misuses Membership benefits
This does not affect your statutory rights.
Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Any rights that cannot be excluded under UK law
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and UK consumer protection legislation applies.
